Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.

State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.

Net-to-Gross Salary Calculator
This tool uses the working calculation module maintained for Turkish law. Results are indicative; current rates, limits, dates and file-specific facts must be verified.
Net to gross salary calculation: view single month or whole year
Calculate the required gross salary, employee deductions, and employer costs by entering the target net salary. You can review the cumulative tax base for the selected month or the 12-month gross equivalents of the same net salary in a table.
How is gross salary calculated from net salary?
Gross salary is the employee's wage before tax and insurance deductions. Net salary is the amount the employee receives after deducting social security contributions, unemployment insurance contributions, income tax, and stamp duty. In net-to-gross salary calculations, these deductions are based on the gross amount, so the result is found using the reverse calculation method.
For a standard employee, the employee's share of the Social Security Institution (SGK) is 14%, and the employee's share of unemployment insurance is 1%. The premium base is limited to the 2026 monthly ceiling.
The tax is calculated not with a single monthly rate, but with a progressive rate ranging from 15% to 40% based on the cumulative wage base throughout the year.
The income and stamp tax amounts corresponding to the minimum wage are deducted from the tax calculated according to the cumulative position of the month.

2026 salary deductions
| Item | Calculation |
|---|---|
| Social Security employee premium | 14% of the base earnings |
| Unemployment insurance employee's share | 1% of the base earnings |
| Income tax | 15% – 40% according to cumulative base; minimum wage exemption is deducted |
| Stamp duty | 7.59 per thousand of the gross wage; the portion corresponding to the minimum wage is excluded. |
| Social Security monthly premium ceiling | 297,270 TL |
Why is month selection and cumulative tax base important?
The gross equivalent of the same net salary may change throughout the year. As the employee's cumulative tax base moves to higher brackets, income tax increases. If the employer has committed to keeping the net salary fixed, the gross salary may need to increase in subsequent months for the employee to receive the same net amount. The "12-month table" automatically calculates this change starting from January.
Frequently asked questions
Which deductions are used in net to gross salary calculation?
For standard employees, the Social Security employee premium, unemployment insurance employee share, cumulative income tax, and stamp duty are taken into account.
Why is a different gross salary calculated every month?
The cumulative income tax base increases during the year, and the employee may move to a higher tax bracket. If the net salary is fixed, the gross salary may change to cover the increased tax.
Is minimum wage tax exemption calculated?
Yes. Income tax and stamp duty exemptions corresponding to the 2026 gross minimum wage are calculated for the relevant month and deducted from the deductions.
What is the Employer's Cost?
This is the approximate total cost found by adding the selected employer's SGK premium and 2% employer unemployment insurance share to the gross wage.
Does the result replace the payroll?
No. The tool is for general information and preliminary checks only. For special incentives, exceptions, and payroll rounding, the calculations of a financial advisor or payroll specialist should be used.
