Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.
Document preparation checklist
Prepare a clear timeline, contracts, invoices, payment records, court or enforcement documents, correspondence and the identity details of the parties.
Remote instruction checklist
State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.
Urgent deadline check
If a notice, judgment, payment order, detention or removal decision has been served, include the exact service date. Do not rely on this page to calculate a procedural deadline.

Annual Leave Duration and Pay Calculator
This tool uses the working calculation module maintained for Turkish law. Results are indicative; current rates, limits, dates and file-specific facts must be verified.
Calculating Annual Leave Duration and Pay
Determine the minimum annual leave period based on the date of entry into employment, age, and working conditions; also see the gross wage equivalent for unused leave days.
How are annual leave periods determined?
According to Article 53 of the Labor Law No. 4857, the minimum annual paid leave period of an employee is determined according to the length of service with the same employer. 14 days are applied for service from one to five years, 20 days for service from more than five years to less than fifteen years, and 26 days for service of fifteen years and more.
| Completed service period | Minimum annual leave |
|---|---|
| 1–5 years (5 years included) | 14 days |
| More than 5 years, less than 15 years | 20 days |
| 15 years and over | 26 days |
Employees aged 18 and under, and those aged 50 and over, are granted at least 20 days of leave.
The statutory annual leave periods of employees working in underground jobs are increased by four days.
The periods in the law are minimums and longer periods can be agreed upon in an employment or collective bargaining agreement.
How is unused annual leave pay calculated?
When an employment contract ends, the wages for earned but unused annual leave days are paid based on the wage at the time of termination. The gross daily wage for a vehicle is calculated by dividing the gross monthly wage by 30 and multiplying it by the total unused leave days entered by the user. Since tax and insurance deductions may vary depending on personal payroll conditions, the result is shown as gross.
Frequently asked questions
Does the right to annual leave accrue before one year is completed?
According to the general rule under the Labor Law No. 4857, to be entitled to annual paid leave, one must work for the same employer for at least one year, including the probationary period.
Is a weekly rest day counted towards annual leave?
No. Weekend holidays, national holidays, and general holidays that fall within the leave period are not counted towards the leave period; they are added separately.
Can unused leave be converted into money while working?
It is essential that annual leave be used for rest purposes. The conversion of unused leave into wages generally comes into question upon the termination of the employment contract.
Which fee is used as the basis for calculating vacation pay?
In case of termination of the employment contract, unused leave pay is calculated based on the wage at the termination date. The tool generates a daily gross amount from the monthly gross wage.
