Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.
Document preparation checklist
Prepare a clear timeline, contracts, invoices, payment records, court or enforcement documents, correspondence and the identity details of the parties.
Remote instruction checklist
State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.
Urgent deadline check
If a notice, judgment, payment order, detention or removal decision has been served, include the exact service date. Do not rely on this page to calculate a procedural deadline.

Calculating rental withholding tax
Calculate the withholding tax amount and payment items by entering the net or gross workplace rent and the applicable withholding tax rate.
How is rental withholding tax calculated?
If the gross rent is known, the withholding tax is found by multiplying the gross amount by the rate; the net payment is the deduction from the gross amount. If the net rent is known, the gross amount is calculated by dividing the net amount by “1 − withholding tax rate”.
Contractual price before tax deduction.
The amount declared to the tax office by the tenant is the one responsible for the deduction.
This is the amount paid to the landlord after deducting withholding tax.
Who may be liable for withholding tax?
Individuals and institutions listed in the Income Tax Law may be liable for tax withholding on business premises rental payments. The status of the tenant and landlord, as well as the manner in which the property is used, must be checked in the specific transaction.
