Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.
Document preparation checklist
Prepare a clear timeline, contracts, invoices, payment records, court or enforcement documents, correspondence and the identity details of the parties.
Remote instruction checklist
State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.
Urgent deadline check
If a notice, judgment, payment order, detention or removal decision has been served, include the exact service date. Do not rely on this page to calculate a procedural deadline.

Sentence Execution (Time to Serve) Calculator
This tool uses the working calculation module maintained for Turkish law. Results are indicative; current rates, limits, dates and file-specific facts must be verified.
Calculation of sentence (imprisonment)
Create an approximate execution schedule based on the fixed-term prison sentence, the selected conditional release rate, previous detention deduction, and probation period.
How to calculate enforcement fees?
In calculating the sentence, the prison sentence given by the court does not directly mean "the time to be spent in prison." The rate for conditional release is determined by the date the crime was committed, the type of crime, the recidivism of the convict, and the provisional provisions to be applied. The chosen rate is applied to the total period; the time previously spent in deprivation of liberty due to the same case and which needs to be deducted is subtracted.
This is the decision regarding the completion of the remaining part of the penalty outside the institution if the statutory period is completed in good conduct.
The execution of a specific portion of the sentence remaining until the conditional release date under appropriate conditions, with supervision within the community.
For the same provision, the time spent in detention or arrest beforehand is deducted from the execution calculation.
Things to consider when choosing a rate
| Option | Meaning in the Vehicle |
|---|---|
| 1/2 | Mathematical scenario based on half of the total time-limited penalty |
| 2/3 | Mathematical scenario based on two-thirds of the total term penalty |
| 3/4 | Mathematical scenario based on three-quarters of the total term penalty |
| 1/1 | Full term scenario without conditional release reduction |
The tool does not automatically match the crime type with the rate. This is because exception lists, crime date, transitional provisions, and recidivism regulations need to be evaluated together in the specific case.
Frequently asked questions
Is the result in the execution calculation the final release date?
No. The final calculation is determined by the term of office issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the decisions of the competent enforcement authorities.
Is supervised release applied automatically?
No. Legal conditions, good conduct, open separation status, and the decision of the competent authority are evaluated.
Can the period of detention be deducted from the sentence?
Detention and imprisonment periods that need to be deducted under the same provision are taken into account in the execution calculation; only days prior to the start date should be entered in the deduction field of the vehicle.
Why is there no crime type selection?
To prevent the risk of incorrect automatic matching, the rate is selected by the user. The date of the crime, exceptions, recidivism, and transitional provisions require legal evaluation.
