Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.
Document preparation checklist
Prepare a clear timeline, contracts, invoices, payment records, court or enforcement documents, correspondence and the identity details of the parties.
Remote instruction checklist
State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.
Urgent deadline check
If a notice, judgment, payment order, detention or removal decision has been served, include the exact service date. Do not rely on this page to calculate a procedural deadline.

Notice pay calculation
Determine the start and end dates of employment and the duration of employment; calculate the approximate gross severance pay based on monthly gross wage and regular benefits.
What are the notice periods?
The notice period for indefinite-term employment contracts is two weeks for less than six months of seniority, four weeks for six months to one and a half years, six weeks for one and a half to three years, and eight weeks for more than three years of seniority.
Working less than six months.
Seniority brackets between six months and three years.
Work exceeding three years.
Why is the gross salary used?
In calculating severance pay, in addition to the basic gross salary, benefits regularly provided to the employee and measurable in monetary terms can also be taken into account. Irregular or non-continuous payments should be evaluated separately according to the specific case.
Frequently asked questions

The result varies depending on the type of resignation and whether there is a justifiable reason; not every resignation results in severance pay.
