Legal Tools and Document Checklists
Use practical document, deadline and remote-instruction checklists before requesting an assessment of a legal matter in Turkey.
These practical checklists help international clients organise documents before contacting the office. They are informational and do not calculate a final deadline or legal entitlement.
Document preparation checklist
Prepare a clear timeline, contracts, invoices, payment records, court or enforcement documents, correspondence and the identity details of the parties.
Remote instruction checklist
State where you are located, whether an original document is available and whether notarisation, apostille, sworn translation or a power of attorney may be required.
Urgent deadline check
If a notice, judgment, payment order, detention or removal decision has been served, include the exact service date. Do not rely on this page to calculate a procedural deadline.

Legal Deadline Calculator
This tool uses the working calculation module maintained for Turkish law. Results are indicative; current rates, limits, dates and file-specific facts must be verified.
Legal period calculation
Find the end date by entering the start date and duration, using calendar days; optionally move a weekend date to the following Monday.
What is important in calculating legal time limits?
The start date of the period, the date of notification or learning, whether the period is in days or weeks, and whether the last day falls on a holiday all affect the result. In some procedural laws, the start date is not taken into account; some special regulations may have different rules.
The date of notification, learning or transaction must be determined correctly.
Calendar day and working day calculations are not the same.
Rules regarding holidays and the end of working hours should also be checked.
In which situations is this vehicle insufficient?
Judicial recess, the fifth-day rule for electronic notifications, deadlines set in weeks or months, administrative application deadlines, and regulations in special laws may require professional evaluation.
Frequently asked questions
Is the starting date not always taken into account?
No. The starting rule may change according to the applicable law and the nature of the period.
What Happens If the Last Day Falls on a Saturday?
An extension to the working day following a holiday may be considered according to the relevant procedural provision; the tool only makes a weekend adjustment.
